Cisco VoIP Vulnerabilities

Network World announced an expected announcement from Cisco today. Talk about a redundant sentence. Network World announced an expected announcement from Cisco today. (We’re so funny)

Anyway, VoIPshield Systems, a company providing security products specifically designed for VoIP, claims that Cisco, Nortel, and Avaya products contain vulnerabilities that leave the VoIP systems open to a variety of attacks.

An announcement from Cisco will hopefully detail more information on the security issue as well as any available fixes. Coincidentally, the three most popular vendors of VoIP telephone gear in corporate America? That would be Cisco, Nortel, and Avaya.
